Princess Elizabeth at Drumhead service H.R.H Princess Elizabeth, Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, attended a drumhead service outside the Guards Chapel at Wellington Barracks. Afterwards the princess took the salute at Buckingham Palace when members of the Grenadier Guards commandes Association marched past. Picture shows: Princess Elizabeth wore this charming summer ensemble for the service. The frock, in mustard-coloured light woollen material, has a concertinapleated skirt and short bolero jacket. The felt tilted hat is decorated with lilies of the valley and the dress is edged in white with large white buttons. Long white gloves and a white bag complete the outfit on June 1st 1947
