YOU can earn a masters degree in Gucci, Ralph Lauren and general luxury retail management at the International University of Monaco.
The course will be in English. The 35 international students will study shoes, jewellery, watches, cars and yachts. Or just have dinner with mum and dad’s friends.
It’s sandwich course (in ciabatta roll) that takes in a “seven-month immersion internship” in a luxury boutique – what was once called being shop assistant (which remains the best way to learn about fashion).
The University says:
“Gone are the days when it was easy to sell luxury goods based on the allure of the brand alone.”
Is that because there are now so many brands competing for our cash..?
