WINTER IN BLOOM
Florals are back for a/w 2012 but this time round they have lost their soft femininity and have become dark, edgy and more luxe.
THE MAXIMALIST
Opulence was back on the runway and the more embellishment the better – gem-encrusted silks, metallic embroidery, jewels, crystals, embrodered leathers and opulent over the top prints.

Inspired by the East think obi -wraps, kimono collars and embroidery rich with oriental motifs all in lustorous fabrics and rich sumptuous colours.
COUNTRY CLASSICS
Designers revisited the country classics, coudroy, tweed, knits and jodhpurs, with a definate dash of Downton Abbey and a twist of tomboy thrown in all of course in earthy autumnal colours.

LUXURIOUS LAYERING
Be decadent this season and go for lots of luxurious layers. The runways featured skirts over trousers worn with long or short jackets all in luxe fabrics. It’s all about quantity and quality.
