Alberta Ferretti showed her first official bridal collection during Haute Couture Fashion Week 2011 in Paris this week.
The capsule collection is composed of fourteen white dresses, which are all sewn and embroidered by hand. Each piece is named after a flower, as a symbol of beauty and lightness, freshness and poetry: the rose, the lily of the valley, the narcissism, the tulip, the anemone, and the forget-me-not. These pieces are adorned with precious beaded embroidery, Swarovski stones and silver and platinum thread. Fabrics include silk muslin, tulle, satin and silk Mikado. Feretti also makes made to measure gowns.
